Communicating [about] the 17 Sustainable Development Goals

The Directorate General for Growth, Ministry of Finance (Ministry of Finance) and CSR Cyprus are co-organizing an event titled “Communicating [about] the 17 Sustainable Development Goals” on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Cultural Centre of Strovolos Municipality (34 Archbishop Kyprianou, 2059 Strovolos), 09:00 to 13:00. The event is held under the auspices of Strovolos Municipality.

The event will focus on communication about sustainability, highlighting the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through experts’ presentations and best practices, the audience will be introduced to the SDGs, effective methods for communicating them, available tools to facilitate proper sustainability communication, guidelines and European directives. Among others, "greenwashing" phenomenon and strategies to combat it will also be presented.

The event is open to all interested parties and is free of charge. Communication professionals and the journalistic community are particularly encouraged to attend, as they often serve as both “recipients” of information/advertisements they relay and as “transmitters” through whom various messages are being disseminated.
