Artemis Credit Bureau was founded in 2008 and is the only recognized Credit Bureau in Cyprus. It is a subsidiary of the Association of Cyprus Banks and a full member of the Association of Credit Bureaus in Europe (ACCIS).
All Banks, Credit Acquiring Companies and Credit Servicers participate in the Artemis Credit Bureau’s Data Exchange Mechanism. The main purpose of the Mechanism is the assessment of the creditworthiness of borrowers for the more effective management of credit risk and other related risks by the participating institutions. At the same time, the Artemis Credit Bureau’s register serves also the borrowers as these have visibility of their credit profile. Artemis Credit Bureau has a Customer Service Office which processes requests from physical and legal persons for access and correction of their data in the register, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable regulatory and legislative framework.
In addition, Artemis Credit Bureau is the administrator of the “Interbank Businesses evaluation based on ESG criteria” project in the Cypriot market. The assessment is carried out through the global digital platform “Synesgy” of the international company CRIF S.p.A., which is, at the same time, available to all Cypriot companies for the purpose of assessing their viability.
