
Mrs. Marianna Fortoma is a graduate in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resource Management and Total Quality Management. She also holds a Master's degree in Communication, Public Relations, and Mass Media from the University of Leicester. Additionally, she has completed her training in Maritime Management at the London Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers .
She has 22 years of experience as a Marketing and Communications Director in consulting firms, advertising agencies, communication firms, and shipping companies, while for the past 9 years she has been working in the healthcare sector. Since April 2022, she has been serving as the Business Development and Marketing Manager at YGIA Polyclinic in Limassol. Her responsibilities include Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives related to vulnerable social groups, social contribution and volunteerism, the network of 200 associate doctors, and the field of Medical Tourism.
At the same time, she is a Certified Trainer by the Human Resource Development Authority (AnAD), delivering training programs in collaboration with Vocational Training Centers in both Greek and English. She speaks Greek, English, and German, holds a piano diploma from the National Conservatory of Athens, and has studied Classical Singing.
Two years ago, she earned the title of EUPATI Fellow (European Patient Academy on Therapeutic Innovation). She is the Vice President of the YGIA Polyclinic Charitable Foundation and Treasurer of the Cyprus Health Services Promotion Board. Mrs. Fortoma has been permanently residing in Cyprus for the past 14 years, is married, and has two daughters.
