NGO Sustainable Development Awards '17 Goals, Actions for our Future'

A press conference was held today, Friday March 28th, at the Presidential Palace to announce the launch of the first Sustainable Development Awards for NGOs, titled "17 Goals, Actions for a Better Future". The awards are co-organized by the Directorate General Growth - Ministry of Finance, the Office of the Commissioner for the Citizen, the Office of the Commissioner for the Environment & Animal Welfare, the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinating Council, and CSR Cyprus.

These awards aim to recognize and celebrate impactful initiatives that actively advance the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (#SDGs). They honour NGOs contributing to a more sustainable, just, and resilient future.

In his address, Dr. Marinos Voukis, Chair BoD of CSR Cyprus, expressed the Network’s enthusiasm for participating in this initiative. As he pointed out, these awards will honour NGO-driven practices that foster meaningful change for Cyprus’ society and environment. Dr Voukis emphasized that CSR Cyprus actively embodies the 17th Goal by forging strong collaborations with public sector entities and civil society organizations.
