A remarkable university springs out of the finest Business School in Cyprus.
After 33 years of impressive success, CIIM, the oldest accredited and finest graduate school of business in Cyprus, attains university status, and becomes the University of Limassol (UoL), a path-breaking University that combines high-tech and high-touch to drive the twin revolutions of green transition and digital transformation.
The core philosophy of the newly established University of Limassol is excellence in education, excellence in research, deep social concern, and principled moral leadership. The University of Limassol will begin operations in the Fall of 2023 offering undergraduate and graduate academic programs, both world-class, under three schools: the CIIM Business School, the Technology & Innovation School and the Economics & Finance School.
There are plans to create additional Schools such as a Law School, a School of Social Sciences and eventually a Medical School, among others. At the core of the expansion is a new international strategy, investing in corporate and institutional partnerships, and an expanded international student recruitment team.
Building on CIIM’s three decades of experience in higher education, in business, finance and information technology, UoL has designed and it is now offering three undergraduate programs of exceptional quality: Bachelor of Business Administration, BSc in Computing and Business Technologies, and BSc in Economics with significant common core among them to ensure that our graduates acquire both the breadth and depth that the new world in which they will live and work requires.
UoL has inherited from CIIM and will continue to offer ten Master programs, including its flagship, EFMD-accredited MBA and nine specialized MSc programs, ranging from Human Resource Management to Computer Science, from Business Intelligence & Data Analytics to Shipping Operations & Management, and from Financial Services to Green & Digital Management. In addition, two doctoral programs, the PhD in Management and the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) have been developed and are in the process of accreditation.
With a high-calibre international faculty, a diverse student body, innovative curricula, interactive teaching and learning methods, and high international admissions and graduation standards, UoL competes with the finest universities for the best and the brightest students. The thrust of UoL education lies in the quality and employability of its graduates following the legendary success of CIIM in having 95% of its graduates employed while studying or within three months of graduation.
